| Monday. 9.10.07 9:26 pm Today definitely had it's up and down moments. First period, I got to learn how to run the principal's coffee maker. Now, I'm not an idiot, and I don't know if the principal just assumed that I was and thought that I needed to be shown how to make coffee or what, but he just kept on talking and showing me what to do. I just nodded my head and smiled. No point in arguing.
Second period, I almost fell asleep again. It's not that I don't like Political Science. I actually kind of really like that class. And the teacher does good lectures, but I just can't seem to stay awake in there. Thankfully, Cody was there to keep me from nodding off for too long, even though I did yell at him the one time for it. Sorry 'bout that.
Third period was dull. I can't go outside with the rest of the class due to some medical crap, so I have to stay inside. I was supposed to meet my teacher down by the main doors of the school concourse where he would show me what they class was doing outside so that I could attempt to do some of it in the concourse. I waited. I read some of the posters on the walls, and what other kids had written on them. After wondering around for almost a half hour, the teacher finally shows up and brings the rest of the class indoors as well so that we can all do this part of the activity. We got it done, and then they all headed back outside and I went back up to the classroom. As you can imagine, I was pretty bored, so I broke out the calculator and played some games on it for a few minutes. That got old, so I put that away and headed next door to talk to that teacher for a few minutes.
Eventually, the rest of my class did come back, and then it was off to lunch. Nothing exciting happened there, and then it was off to fourth period with the ninth grade science class. They got some papers back today, and that teacher requires that they keep all of their papers in a three-ring-binder in chronological order. It's not hard to do, and most of the kids didn't have a problem with it. There was this one boy, though, that seemed to be amazed with it. I overheard him telling the boy next to him all about it. "Look, it goes from the 27th, to the 30th, and then to the fourth..." I couldn't help but to laugh. Not loud enough so that he would hear me, but come on, that's funny.
Before the final bell of the day rang to dismiss students, a teacher came around to ninth grade classes handing out free pepperoni rolls. Before she left, she was kind enough to give me one, which I saved for me and Becky to eat on the bus. It wasn't all that great, but you don't say no to free food.
There was a 4-H meeting tonight. On the way there, I had my mind made up that this would be my last meeting, that I was done with the club and that I was quitting and there was nothing that anyone could do to stop me. Except for Becky. Of course, it's always Becky, right? Well, she tells me that she has to stay in the club one more year, but I don't have to if I don't want to. Which really meant that she wanted me to, but she just wasn't going to say it. So, I agreed that I would stay in it with her, and then what does the idiot do? She goes and gets herself elected as the new club president. Then, I follow by ending up as the new club treasurer. Great, huh? Next year in this club should be interesting...
