let's go knights.

This year, I've gone to all the home football games at my high school. Most have been okay games that have ended with our team losing, but that was okay. The thing was that it didn't matter who won or lost. It just mattered that it was me and all my friends enjoying the last football season at our high school. It's sad to think that last night was it. But, we made it a fun, screamed our heads off whenever our team did something good, and guess what? Knights won 27 -20. What a good way to end it. It was freezing cold and we were all cuddling together to keep warm, but it was well worth going out for.

This morning, my throat is sore, but that's okay. I'll just be doing some more screaming tonight when I go to the Dierks Bentley concert!!! hehe.

the trials and tribulations of being a high school senior.
Saturday. 10.27.07 10:29 pm
I am the first to admit that being a senior in high school is pretty awesome. You can pretty much get away with anything that you want to, and your schedule is nothing. Well, my schedule is nothing. I have friends that are taking all these advanced classes that they get pretty stressed out about, but that's their fault. My day consists of only two book classes that I have to have to graduate, and two other classes that I can sleep in, or just leave and roam the halls at will. It's a pretty nice set up, but being a senior does have it's bad points.

There was this meeting about work based portfolios. I didn't go, but I had
Becky get me a set of the papers that were passed out. Apparently, we are supposed to put together this packet about our work experiences. We need copies of job applications, thank you notes for our service, employer evaluations... Things like that. You know how many of those things I have? None. The easier part is going to be the academic accomplishments and then the personal interests. Then to make the whole thing just stupid, we have do a presentation of this portfolio for the assistant principal at our school.

Then, there was the panoramic photo.

This didn't sound too bad. I went, and found a seat in the bleachers. It got bad when the entire class was there and were all packed tightly together. And then the guy taking the picture talked to us like we were five-year-olds, which is understandable for some of my classmates, but still. It was annoying. After we took three serious pictures, he let us have two funny ones, and then it we had to remain in the bleachers to listen as we were told about ordering our caps and gowns for graduation.

Next is the ACT. You hear about it all through your years of school, and they talk about it like it is one of those life changing events. I took it today, and I promise you that it really isn't. It's just like any other test that they give you. Two number two pencils. Calculator. Fill in the ovals. That's it. I think I did really well on the English and reading parts. The math and science parts, well, that I am no so sure about. I just hope and pray that I don't get a really low score, like a 10 or something. That would just suck.

something like an update.

So my life has been pretty uneventful. There's not been a lot worht typing up an entry about, and there still really isn't. Knights lost yet another football game, which is really no surprise by now, is it? The game wasn't bad,. The bad thing was that it was freezing, and I did the stupid thing and wore flip flops. I talked Becky into letting me wear her socks so my toes didn't freeze. Socks and flip flops. Not the best looking, but my toes weren't as cold as they would have been without anything covering them at all.

Yesterday, I had to go to the National Honor Society induction for the new members. I got in last year, and this year I only had to walk one person across teh stage before I left to go help with setting up the refreshments. That was easy enough, and the induction wasn't really as bad as I had thought it would be. I guess it was just the thing that I actually had to get up and get ready for it.

Oh, and my cell phone died. Thanks, Motorola, for making a crap phone that doens't even freaking work!

bleh.

Wow, it's almost been a whole week since I've updated. There's a good reason for that. Nothing has happened that has been worth typing up an entry about. The whole week as sort of blah. Nothing interesting. Just... there.

But, Friday night, my mother and I went and looked at this horse that we might possibly get. It was freezing and I was shivering more than a person should be able to shiver, but we survived it. Afterward, we went and got some pizza to bring home, and then I went to sleep.

Saturday, yesterday, we went to a horse show. Again. Me and Sassy did pretty good, placing third, fourth, and fifth. Third in trail, the fourth and fifths coming from walk/trot classes. We had a lot of fun, and my cousin Jenny came down and got to ride Sassy in a cake walk with Misty leading her. That was pretty entertaining to watch.

And then there's today, where I've spent the better part of the day trying to download Windows Live Messenger and figure out how to work it and such. There's my weekend. Exciting, huh? I think so, but a lot of people probably don't.

Oh yeah, our football team had an away game Friday night. Knights lost 8 to 33. woohoo! At least we scored.

you've got to be kidding.

Anyone else feel that sequels often ruin a movie? I most definitely do. Like, Fox and the Hound 2. Can someone please tell me what they were thinking? Or Are We Done Yet. I just don't get it. Why take a perfectly good movie, and then ruin it with the the number 2? There are certainly some exceptions to this, but more of the time a sequel spells doom.

The reason I bring this up in High School Musical. I liked the first one, but the second was painful for me to watch. I know of a lot of people that will agree with me on this. I also know that some will think that I'm an idiot for even liking the first movie. But, I have recently been hearing that they were making a HSM 3, and I had hoped to God that it was just some rumor.

I got an OK! magazine in my hands at this very moment that tells me that the script for the third installment of this musical is being written, and filming begins in January of 2008. Great, just what we all wanted to hear. *gags*

But, maybe they'll make improvements and this one will actually be good. I have my doubts, but you never know.

it's ridiculous.
Sunday. 10.7.07 8:11 pm
What is? Well, I'll tell you. I think it's ridiculous that my mother and I spent the better part of our day making cupcakes for my Environmental Earth Science class. Come on, I'm a senior in high school, and I'm still making freaking cupcakes for a class.

Our EES class has a snack every day because our class period is almost two hours long. It is this way because we have C lunch, the last lunch of the day, and all the other lunches take place during our class time. I like that we have a snack. I like that we all take turns bringing food in. I would've have even liked buying the cupcakes to take in for snack. But making them? I didn't like that at all. It wasn't that it was hard, but geesh. Why my mother wouldn't just let me buy the pre made ones, I'll never understand.

And I'm a little surprised that I didn't get any comments on Rob Paravonian, but oh well. I thought he was funny.

EDIT;;
So, I was just out in the kitchen to try one of these cupcakes. Guess what. The icing was gritty. My advice to all of you is this: Don't let the icing get warm and melted, and if you do, for the love of God, don't use it!

Mom, I just gotta say, BETCHA WISH WE WOULD'VE BOUGHT 'EM NOW!!!
